    High School Assistant Principal – 12 Month, Act 93 Contract - The Exeter Township School District is seeking an individual with demonstrated instructional leadership skills with a focus on student success.  The selected candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure that all Exeter High School students have an outstanding learning experience in our school and achieve our goal of 100% of students graduating with their cohort each year. To achieve this goal the responsibilities of this position will include:
    • Evidence of effective teaching, the ability to articulate the defining qualities of such, and strategies for supervising other teachers in developing their own instructional skills. 
    • Support for students and their families in the pursuit of success in academics, attendance, and behavior. 
    • Experience or familiarity with core academic functions including curriculum development, standardized testing, and scheduling. 
    • Creative thinking, attention to detail, and thoroughness in the development and execution of programs and tasks throughout the school.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:  Maintaining the technology resources for the district including conducting preventative maintenance and troubleshooting repairs, Setup and installation of new A/V and Technology equipment, Installation of on-premise cabling, Support of district security infrastructure, Participation in staff training programs in the use of computer hardware and software, and Assisting staff with computer-related activities.

    Position Information:  Candidate must have a background in battery percussion (teaching and/or performance) and knowledge of corps style marching fundamentals that is typical of many high school and collegiate band programs.  The candidate must be comfortable running sectionals specifically for a battery percussion drumline.  This position seeks enthusiastic candidates with prior teaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or drum corps level and must have a desire to help building a growing program.  The candidate must also be comfortable with reading and teaching from drill charts (Pyware). 

    Position Duties Include: Summer band rehearsals and band camp, Tuesday evening rehearsals throughout the fall, attending Friday night football games, competitions, and parades.  PA Criminal, Child Abuse, and Fingerprints are required prior to working with students.

    • Act 114 FBI Federal Criminal History Report or UEID # (Choose Dept. of Education PDE when registering - code 1KG6XN) so official results can be obtained from the PA Department of Education.  Provide a copy of your receipt with the UEID # to Human Resources.  If you use a different code and we can’t retrieve official results, you will be asked to repeat the process using the correct code which will result in your having to pay a second time.
