Welcome! My name is Darryl Schucker and I have been part of Exeter Township School District since 2016. I am very excited to be instructing a new course here at EJHS called Medical Detectives for our 8th grade students. In this course, students play the role of real-life medical detectives as they analyze genetic testing results to diagnose disease and study DNA evidence found at a “crime scene.” They solve medical mysteries through hands-on projects and labs, investigate how to measure and interpret vital signs, and learn how the systems of the human body work together to maintain health.
Beyond being very excited for this course and teaching science, I also enjoy hiking, kayaking, and paddle boarding when I am not in the classroom. I will happily root for the Reading Royals, Flyers, and our very own Exeter Eagles anytime I get the chance! I am also an active member of the Exeter Ski and Board Club at school and enjoy snowboarding with the club after school. If you have ever considered trying snowboarding or skiing, please attend our informational meeting at the beginning of the winter sports season!
During the school year, the majority of my assignments will be on schoology digitally. Please have your student check there for any updates, assignments, and to turn in items they have completed. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns!
