Hello! I am very excited for another year at Exeter Junior High School. This school year, I will be teaching 8th grade Science. Before coming to Exeter, I taught 8th grade science for nearly 8 years. I earned my undergraduate education degree at Clarion University of Pennsylvania where I focused on General Science and Biology. Also, I have a Master's in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's in Science Education from Western Governors University where I focused on Physics.
Eighth grade science is an inquiry based science course that covers topics in both Chemistry and Physics. Through our exploration of Physical Science students will develop their scientific thinking and process skills and apply these skills to their everyday life. We will cover topics such as matter, motion, forces and energy to name a few. Through my teaching, I look to develop my students' abilities to think critically and communicate with others as they study science. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning!
When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy golfing, rock climbing, and reading.
