Hi! I am Mrs. Coakley. A little background about myself...
I went to college at Saint Joseph's University and studied Elementary Education. I have a minor in French and spent some time studying in Paris. I completed my Masters in Education with a specialty in Special Education at Cabrini College. I earned a Dual Certification in Special Education. I finished my Principal Certification through Cabrini College in the Spring of 2018.
After college I worked as a para-professional at Wayne Elementary School in Radnor Township. I then moved on to work for The School District of Philadelphia for three years. I taught first, third, and fourth grade in Philadelphia. It was a great experience as a teacher! I then came to work in Exeter Township. This is my tenth year in Exeter Township School District. I started at Reiffton teaching fifth grade regular and special education. I taught 4th grade at Lorane for 3 years before moving back to Reiffton to teach special education. I did 4 years at Jacksonwald as a Learning Support teacher and am now back at Reiffton in the Multiple Disabilities Classroom.
Personal Background:I grew up in Radnor Township and loved school! My favorite subject in school was Math. I currently live in Collegeville PA. I have two crazy cats named Weasley and Tucker and three dogs named Daisy, Owen, and Rory. In my free time I teach dance in Malvern, Pa. I have been dancing for 27 years and teaching for 18 years. I teach ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. My favorite style to do is tap. I love to teach dance and help kids build confidence through movement.
I am married to my husband, Steve and have two beautiful boys Conor and Liam. I love being a mom and raising my boys. I have two dogs; a German Shepherd named Finn and a Golden Retriever named Daisy.
I am looking forward to getting to know all my students and having a great year. I call my students the Busy Bees because we are always working hard! My philosophy is that every student can learn! I will do my best to make sure that every student in my class is loving learning.
