Professional Background:
Education: I graduated from Millersville University in 1992 with a dual major in Elementary Education and Spanish, with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. I earned my masters degree in Elementary Education from West Chester University in 1999. At this time I also earned certification as a Reading Specialist. Over the years, I have earned an additional 60 credits in education and reading support, to better serve the students in our community.
Bio: I have been teaching since 1992. I taught for 8 years in the Reading School District before coming to Exeter in September of 2000. I started at Lausch, serving one year as a first grade teacher before becoming the building's Reading Specialist in September of 2001. I have continued as the building's Reading Specialist at Jacksonwald Elementary! My goal is to help children strengthen their reading skills and become lifelong readers.
