    A Little Bit About Me:

I have lived in Berks County, Pennsylvania all of my life. I am a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, where I was very active in sports. I loved to run and was a member of the track, swimming, and cross country teams all 4 years. I was also the senior captain of the cross country and swimming teams. I attended Kutztown University and was a member of the International Education Honor Society. I graduated cum laude with a dual B.S. in Elementary Education and Special Education. I completed my Masters in Education at Cabrini College and graduated with highest honors. My studies have been a wonderful addition to my education and have provided me with many resources to use in my classroom.

The 2019-2020 school year will be my seventeenth year working in the Exeter Township School District. I spent eight years working as an Itinerant Learning Support teacher at Jacksonwald Elementary. I then spent two and a half years at Owatin Creek. Following the birth of my son, I returned to Jacksonwald Elementary where I worked for three and a half years as a K-2 supplemental learning support teacher. I am now in my third year at Reiffton as one of the 6th grade learning support teachers. I am excited to be teaching in the Exeter Township School District. The staff is amazing and supportive. Every day is a new challenge and I love what I do.

When I am not at School:

I live in the Shillington area with my husband David. We have two daughters who are the love of our lives and one son who is a ball of crazy and is always on the move. Our first daughter, Grace, is 12 years old and is a bright and funny girl. She is smart and sassy and loves being outside or making art.  Grace is a great swimmer and loves the breast stroke. She loves being a part of the age group swim team. She also plays Lacrosse and is learning so many new skills. She will be in seventh grade this year. Our second daughter, Kaitlyn, is 10 years old. She is such an amazing little girl. She is our rough and tumble Tom Boy and enjoys running around outside and exploring everything. She is also our little dare devil which often leaves her with black and blues to show for it.  She is a swimmer like her sister and seems to be a natural butterflyer and breaststroker. She also plays lacrosse and it is her passion. She will be in fifth grade this year.  Finally, Elijah, is seven years old. He looks like his sister Kaitlyn and his dad.  He loves to laugh.  He talks up a storm like his mom and is very inquisitive. He loves Batman and super heroes.  He also loves being outside. This year he will be going to 2nd grade. We know we are truly blessed and wouldn't trade a minute of our lives for anything in the world. Our family loves to camp and travel throughout the year. We try to get away as often as we can. We visit many campground and Chincoteague Island yearly. I also teach swimming lessons at the Governor Mifflin Pool as well as assistant coach the Governor Mifflin under 8 age group swim team. I love being part of a great coaching staff and working with the wonderful little swimmers.  I am also a joint head coaching for the Ken Grill Gators swim team! We are crazy busy but wouldn't have it any other way.
