I began my undergraduate degree in 2002 at Millersville University. Before I transferred to Kutztown University, I spent one semester studying abroad in New Zealand. In December 2006, I graduated summa cum laude from Kutztown University with my Bachelor's of Science in Education in Library Science. I earned my Master's degree at Kutztown University in the Instructional Technology graduate program.
My goal for every student is that he or she has the skills and desire to become a life-long learner. As a school librarian, I feel my role is to promote the love of reading in each student, support the classroom teacher's efforts to develop literacy, and to teach students the skills necessary to locate and use information available in printed and electronic sources. I believe that reading enhances the quality of life by giving children a chance to explore infinite possibilities, providing escape from life’s difficulties, and encouraging new interests.
Some of my interests include reading, cooking, ping pong, football season, spending time with my family, technology, and traveling.
