Welcome to Lorane Elementary School!
Office Hours | 8:15 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.

School Hours & Attendance Info
School Day | 9 a.m. – 3:40 p.m.
Students enter the building at 8:50 a.m. Students will be marked tardy if they arrive to school after 9 a.m. If your child arrives late, you must accompany them into the office and sign them in. Students who come to school after 12:15 p.m. will be marked for a half-day absence.
To report a student absent, dial 610-582-8608 and press 2. This does not replace a signed written excuse. Please send in a signed note with your child within 5 days of the absence. If your child is absent 3 consecutive days, a doctor’s note is required to excuse the absence.
Emails sent to LORattendance@exetersd.org will now be accepted to document an absence. This will replace the phone call to the school and the need to send in a note. The email address must match a previously registered email address with the district to excuse an absence.
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Commuters – Students will be dropped off and picked up at the gym lobby. Please enter the rear parking lot and circle around. Your child should quickly and safely exit/enter the car without the driver exiting the vehicle.
Bus Riders – Students will disembark and board buses at the front of the building.
There will be no parking in front of the building from 3:30 – 4 p.m. This will permit a safe traffic pattern for our buses. There will be no student sign-out from the office lobby after 3:30 p.m.
Our cafeteria serves both breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served from 8:50 – 9:05 a.m.
- Breakfast $1.70
- Lunch $2.85
Parents are encouraged to pre-purchase 10 lunches at a time. Each student is assigned a pin number, which keeps a running total of how much lunch money is left in the student’s account. Checks should be made payable to Exeter Township School District Cafeteria Fund.
If your child’s transportation plans should ever need to change from the established routine, please be sure to send a note to the child’s teacher to help ensure that you child reaches the proper destination. Phone calls and e-mails will not be accepted. Requests for changes of bus stops must be done by filling out a district bus change request form 5 days in advance of the change. No more than one pick up/drop off stop will be approved for each student.
Parents, K-12, have access to Skyward. Skyward provides parents with a secure database of all student information. Skyward can be used to view academic progress, daily attendance, upcoming assignments, teacher messages, and much, much more. You only need one username to access all your children. To obtain your username and password, simply contact the building where your child is enrolled. Security is very important to the district. Secretaries will need to verify information or ask that you visit the office to obtain your login information.
