EXPERIENCE: I taught 2 years of high school English. One year was at Central Cambria High School in Ebensburg, PA. I also taught 1 year of English at Chartiers Valley High School in Pittsburgh, PA. After receiving my elementary certification, I taught 5th grade in Pittsburgh for 4 years. I then taught 5th grade for 8 years at Harmon Elementary in the Southwestern- City School District located in Columbus, Ohio. Since 2000, I have taught 5th grade here at Exeter Township.
I also have had the opportunity to work with the Pennsylvania Department of Education on the PSSA test for the last 10 years. I have worked and continue to work on the items (questions) and in rangefinding where I assess students' work.
PERSONAL INFORMATION: I am married and have 2 children.
INTERESTS: I love to read. I try to read as often as I have time. I also love to travel. There are only 8 states that I have not visited, and I have been fortunate enough to have visited over 30 foreign countries. Being able to teach English in Japan was another wonderful opportunity that I was able to participate in.
