A 1989 Graduate of Exeter H.S, I studied biochemistry in the Honors Program at Colorado State University, before receiving my Bachelors in Music Education, Magna cum laude from Mansfield University in 1994. My first teaching position was in Fairfield Illinois, where I taught vocal, general, and instrumental music in a K-8 building. After receiving my Masters Degree in Music Performance, I returned to my alma mater (Exeter), to teach beginning 5th and 6th bands and small instrumental group lessons at Lausch, Lorane, and Jacksonwald. When Reiffton opened, I moved to a beautiful new building to serve as the director of bands at Reiffton. Currently there are 2 bands at Reiffton exploring their musical talents through a band instrument.Personal Background:
Outside of school I enjoy reading, cooking, making jewelry, and being an aunt to 8 wonderful children. Obviously music is a passion of mine, and I love to perform whenever time allow. I have been a member of many groups over the years including: The Williamsport Symphony, Corning, and Reading Symphony Orchestras, as well as the Fyve and Artemis Quintets, Swing Fever Band, Reading Pops Orchestra, and the Ringgold Band. Born with a severely sloping hearing loss in both ears, I feel blessed every moment I get to hear or play beautiful music.
