This is my tenth year at Exeter Junior High School and I am very excited to begin the new school year! I teach eighth grade English Language Arts and I have great expectations for the upcoming 2018-2019 year! In my class, students will be examining literature from the textbook, as well as reading The Giver. Two other important focuses of the class will be the Accelerated Reader program and the completion of various writing assignments. Grammar will also be important to the students' success this year.
I am a 2005 graduate of Central Catholic High School and I am a 2009 graduate of Susquehanna University where I received a degree in English-Secondary Education and a minor in Psychology. While completing my degree at Susquehanna, I studied abroad in England at the University of Sussex during the fall semester of my junior year. I have a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Kutztown University. When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading, going to the beach, playing or watching sports (especially soccer), refinishing furniture, and spending time with family and friends.
I love teaching at EJHS and I look forward to another wonderful year! If anyone ever has any questions, please do not hesitate to call my school extension or email me at email@example.com! I look forward to helping you achieve your goals this year!
