A decision to close school or have a late start due to inclement weather is usually made prior to 6:30 a.m. As soon as the decision is made, parents will receive a ParentLink message on their home phone or designated primary phone. Announcements are also made on local radio and TV stations as well as on our district webpage. Additionally, a notification is pushed to our Exeter Township SD IOS (Apple) and Android app.
Emergency ParentLink messages (ParentLink is the District's phone notification system) including weather-related dismissals will be forwarded to all phone numbers listed for a student on the Student Emergency Information form. Parents are asked to verify or supply all phone, work and cell numbers on this form distributed at the beginning of each school term. Radio and television stations will also promptly announce any unexpected early dismissals. It is imperative that young children know where they should go and what they should do if a parent is not home and this situation occurs. In order to avoid problems, please prepare your child for this potential circumstance.
