After graduating from Exeter in 1995, I completed my undergraduate work at West Chester University. I began my teaching career here in Exeter in 2001. In 2008 I received my Master's degree in education. I first taught here at Lorane, second grade for 5 years, then first grade for 5 years. I transferred to Owatin when it opened and taught third grade for 5 years. I am absolutely thrilled to be back to Lorane, "my home", in 4th grade! :) This is my 20th year teaching in EXETER!
Some of my hobbies are baking, running, taking hikes, gardening...really just about any activity outside! I also LOVE playing with my two dogs, Pennie and Foxy! Both are Jack Russell Terrier mixes.
A new addition to my life is my son, Kayden! We just adopted him on March 2nd and officially made him a Marburger! Best day of my life! He just turned 19 months and keeps me VERY busy! You'll her lots about him this year, I'm sure!
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was seven years old, and feel so lucky to have my dream job! I love what I do and hope that the students can feel my enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
Communication is crucial for a successful school year. Please feel free to call or email me if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year!
