September- National Recess month....get outside and move!
JAM Day (Just A Minute) All students will exercise for one minute in their classrooms. Students across the nation are celebrating JAM Day. Movement breaks are important throughout the day and every minute counts. Students should receive 60 minutes of activity a day!
October- Red Ribbon Week- #bedrugfree Lessons dedicated to drugs and alcohol. Themed dress up days.
Hoops for Heart: Jan.-Feb.
February- National Heart Awareness month. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.
PSSA Pep Rally: March/April
- National Nutrition Month-brings awareness about the importance of families eating healthy and nutritious meals. You can visit www.eatright.org

March (first week)- National School Breakfast Week emphasizes the importance of eating a healthy breakfast daily.
May (first week)- National TV Turnoff Week encourages everyone to turn off the television and read, daydream, enjoy nature, spend quality time with family and friends.
