Noble Diary
Dear Diary…
Read chapter 19, specifically the sections entitled “Government” and “The People”. (pages: 295 and 296)
Create 3 diary entries in a noble’s diary concerning some daily events that might have occurred in the life of the character you’ve invented. Be creative; give a little background to your noble. Each entry must be at least 10 - 12 sentences. You can do more!!!
Throughout your diary entries, you MUST reference the following:
1. sheriffs 5. king’s peace
2. wigenagemot 6. servants
3. peasants 7. possessions of the noble
4. estates owned
You should probably define these words first, because you will need to know what they mean in order to use them in a sentence correctly. And by “should” I mean you MUSt!
As you write, include descriptions of surroundings, feelings, and attitudes. Your are telling a story, help the reader get “into it” and really understand who this person is and what they are going through.
