    Technology Education Rules and Procedures

    1.       LATE TO CLASS  – All students must be in their seats and prepared for class to begin when the bell rings.  3 tardy’s will result in a discipline referral. 

    2.       ELECTRONIC DEVICES  – Students are permitted to use electronic devices during lunch or study hall (with the exception of cell phones) according to page 47 of the student handbook.  Any electronic devices displayed during class will be taken and forwarded to the office for appropriate discipline.

    3.       DRESS CODE – Students are expected to dress in clothing that is both conducive to the overall educational process and that promotes a positive academic atmosphere.  For more information, refer to page 40 of the student handbook.

     

    4.       BOOK BAGSBook bags and hats may be brought to school; however, once at school these items MUST be stored in a LOCKER. Only book bags that are transparent (see through) and book slings may be taken to classrooms. School administrators will determine if book bags are transparent.  For more information, refer to page 18 and 40 of the student handbook.

     

    5.       FOOD AND DRINK – Students are permitted to eat snacks and drinks in the cafeteria only.  Bottled water is permitted in the classrooms.  For more information, refer to page 22 of the student handbook.

    6.       WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF AN ABSENCE - It is the student’s responsibility to contact the teacher(s) on the day he/she returns from the absence to make arrangements to make up any missed assignments and/or assessments.  All missed assignments and/or assessments must be made up within three school days from the day the student returns from the absence.

    7.       DUE DATES – Students are expected to have assignments handed in on time.  Any assignment not handed in 1 week from the original due date will result in a 0. 

    8.       COMPUTER ETIQUETTE – Students are expected to use technology in a responsible manner.  Misuse of ETSD  technologies and/or failure to follow the procedures constitutes a violation of District policy, and will result in one or more of the consequences listed on page 25 of the student handbook based on the severity of the offense.
