My name is Sherilyn Reidinger-Smith. This is my twentieth year teaching at Lorane! I am so exited! I have a B.S. in Elementary and Early Education from Elizabethtown College, Masters of Education from Cabrini College and Masters with Reading Specialist Certification from Wilkes University. I began my teaching career as a Title I teaching assistant with Mrs. Szablowski. In 1999 I started a seven year second grade journey that was amazing. For three years following I decided to take the opportunity and join the Multi-age team. I was still able to continue the rewarding journey of teaching second grade along with watching first graders blossom as they begin their lifelong love of learning! Since then I have been rewarded daily as a third grade teacher!
Each day I come to school with the expectation of seeing something amazing! Maybe it will be a smile that comes across a student's face as the information I presented "clicked" for them, maybe it will be a word a student spelled correctly after they tried so hard, maybe ... there are so many possibilities and I am eager to watch for each one of them! Lorane is an amazing place where incredible students touch my life everyday as we grow and learn together!
When I am not at school I am enjoying life with my family! Together we enjoy exploring the endless possibilities of ways to learn and have fun!
