The Board of Directors of the Exeter Township School District appointed Beverly A. Martin, Ed.D. as Superintendent of Schools for a second term from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2015. Dr. Martin has served as assistant superintendent in the district since August 2003, and as superintendent since 2007. Dr. Martin served as the Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction in the Parkland School District from 2001 to 2003. In that position she was responsible for all aspects of the middle school curriculum and instruction, the district-wide coordination and supervision of the World (Foreign) Language Program, and the implementation of a new language arts curriculum. Prior to that she served as the principal of Kratzer Elementary School for five years in the same district. Dr. Martin was also the principal of Tracy Elementary School in the Easton Area School District and an assistant principal and reading specialist in the Bethlehem Area School District. After receiving a B.A. from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, Dr. Martin earned a Master’s Degree, Reading Specialist Certificate, Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lehigh University. While studying at Lehigh, she was awarded the Lloyd W. Ashby Outstanding Dissertation Award. Dr. Martin has served as an adjunct professor at Wilkes and Lehigh Universities, as well as Northampton Community College. |
