 Supervisor of Mathematics - Administrative 12 month position.  Duties include coordinating the professional development of mathematics and STEM curriculum and instruction for grades K-12.  Conducts needs analysis, designs and evaluates programs to meet the needs of students and teachers.  Required: Principal certification with PA Instructional Cert Math 7-12 OR Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction with Math 7-12.  Cert in Elementary and/or Science 7-12 a plus.  Five years teaching experience required.2/20/16
   

 Professional Openings 2015-16

 

Exeter  Township School District is considering the addition of a Grade 5-6 teacher for its elementary STEM program.  The qualifications, course description, and duties are below. Qualified internal applicants are invited to apply on the district website by February  20. Please address the qualifications described below in your cover letter. 

 

Qualifications:  Elementary K-6 or 4-8 certification with evidence of content knowledge as exhibited by coursework, degrees, certifications, concentrations, or strong Praxes scores  in STEM areas.  Strong background in computer science and/or technology, strong background in mathematics, (specifically, Investigations, Exeter's K-5 curriculum), and experience in elementary computer “coding.” Must possess an outstanding knowledge of current and emerging technologies and the use of educational technology applications, as well as an ability to provide teacher support in  a collaborative manner , as well as the  ability to work effectively with administration and staff.

 

Cr.E.A.Te. (Creative Engineering and Technology) Studio Teacher at Reiffton

 

Cr.E.A.Te. Course Description:

The Cr.E.A.Te. studio course will be offered to all 5th and 6th grade students once per every eight day cycle at the Reiffton school.  This encore studio course will afford students with the opportunity to interact with the STEM disciplines in a hands-on environment that emphasizes technology as the unifying theme while students create, make and explore various tools and building materials.  Students will become familiar with, and utilize the Engineering Design Process throughout the course.

 

The duties will include, but not be limited to: Creating and delivering resource rich lessons and interactive technology activities for elementary students;  assisting the administration in the selection of appropriate digital resources and technologies for elementary  students; serving as a resource for classroom teachers to support the integration of STEM principles into the current core curriculum; assisting with effective professional development, including workshops in STEM areas on professional development days; and assisting with the coordination and facilitation of workshops for teachers, staff, and parents; To apply go to www.exeter.k12.pa.us and use the online job link Elementary - CREATE.
