Our positive discipline program is called SOAR. It stands for Students Observed Acting Responsibly and embodies the spirit of the Exeter Township Eagles. If students are observed by an Owatin Creek Elementary staff member acting responsibly by helping a friend, treating others with respect, working hard in class, or many other responsible actions, they will receive recognition for their responsibility by receiving a S.O.A.R. ticket that will be placed in a grade level bin on the cafeteria stage. In addition to being recognized, lucky tickets will be pulled from the bin every few weeks for prizes such as use of the Principal’s chair, lunch with friends by the office, lunch with the Assistant Principal and friends, gift coupons, and other fun activities or rewards to recognize students acting responsibly.
